Paula Scher

Poster design inspired by the work of Paula Scher, one of my greatest inspirations

The assignment was to capture the essence of a song in her style.

Using Futura in all of its fonts, I drew direct inspiration from her logo design for the New York Public Theater.

Bitmap was done in Photoshop, and added it to the composition in Illustrator. I used india ink on watercolor paper, scanned it, and live traced it to create the brushstrokes
